Associate
Bethel Guardian (ABG): A man who is a Master Mason
and assists the Bethel Guardian were asked. This
man is a father figure to many "daughters." Secures the
building.
Associate
Council Members: Those adults selected to hold jobs
which make the Bethel run smoothly.
Associate
Grand Guardian (AGG): He is elected from Past Associtate
Bethel Guardians and is the right-hand person to the Grand
Guardian in running the state.
Bethel:
1) Biblical term for Holy Place 2) Room where Job's Daughters hold
their meetings
Bethel
Guardian (BG): A woman who is the head adult leader
of the Bethel. She oversees the activities
of the Bethel and the Bethel Guardian Council.
Bethel
Guardian Council (BGC): A group of adult volunteers
who work for the good of the Bethel there
are Executive and Associate
members of the council. They are led by the Bethel
Guardian and have a regular meeting once a month.
Chaplain:
Leads the Bethel in prayer and gives the obligation
to new members
Choir:
Not officers, but very important. They lead the singing.
Custodian
of Paraphernalia: Keeps the robes and properties of
the Bethel in good order
Director
of Epochs (DOE): Helps the members with their speaking
parts and prompts during the meetings
Executive
Council: BG, ABG,
GS, GT, and the DOE.
(In some Bethels the DOM
is on the executive council instead of the DOE.) They are appointed
each year by the Grand Guardian at the recomendation
of the Bethel Guardian Council and by the members.
Grand
Bethel : All members of the Order who have gregistered
and are in attendance a the annual sesson of the GGC
Grand Bethel
Honored Queen: She is selected as Senior Princess
at Grand Bethel. She presides over all meetings
of the Grand Bethel and travels the state. She is the liaison to
the adult bodies for Job's Daughters
Grand
Guardian (GG): She is elected from Past Bethel
Guardians and is responsible for making the area work as a whole.
She solves probelms not handled within a Bethel
itself.
Grand
Guardian Council: The state heads comprised of Executive
membes of the individual Bethel Guardian Councils.
Past Bethel Guardians and Past Associate
Bethel Guardians are also members. The meet once a year to learn
what is happening in their area and to vote on any needed changes
to their bylasys. they are the governing body.
Grand Session:
A meeting held in June to elect and install a new Grand
Guardian Council and new Grand Bethel officers
and representatives.
Guardian
Director of Music: Makes sure the Bethel
has music for meetings and special occasions. Doesn't need to know
how to play an instruments. Musical ability is cherished and much
appreciated if a members or council member is so blessed.

Secretary (GS): Makes sure the records are straight
and oversees the Bethel Recorder
Guardian
Treasurer (GT): Keeps track of the income for the
Bethel, supervise the Bethel Treasurer
and the Bethel Librarian
Guide:
Takes distinguished members and visitors to be introdiced to the
East and also takes candidates through the Ceremony
of Initiation
Heritage:
All members have a blood tie to a Mastor Mason
HIKE:
Hearing Impaired Kids Endowment. Our own philanthropic project.
Kids helping kids.
Honored
Queen (HQ): President in Job's Daughters. She plans
and presides over all Bethel activities.
Initiation:
The special ceremony where a girl becomes a member of Job's Daughters.
It is a beautiful ceremony and there is nothing embarrassing in
it.
Inner and
Outer Guards: Makes sure all are members and can attend
the meetings.
Installation:
A very special day. All Bethel members get
a new office and a new Honored Queen is installed.
IOJD/JDI:
The International Order of Job's Daughters, also known as Job's
Daughters International. Made up of members from Australia, Brazil,
Canada, the Philippines, and the U.S.
Job:
Not what pays the rent, but a book from the Bible. The Story of
Job is an age-old story about keeping your faith during crisis.
Jobie To
Bee: A program for 9 year olds. They can start to
be a Jobie by having fun, helping at Installations,
earning money and working with the members.
Librarian:
Gives an interesting report on a subject at each meeting
Line Officers:
The HQ, SP, JP,
Guide and Marshal are
the line or eleced officers of the Bethel.
They are elected by the members and must continue to be a good member
or they might not be elected to the next higher office.
Majority
Member (MM): Those members who remain until the age
of 20 or have married. A title to be proud of.
Marshal:
Presents the National Emblem, cares for the properties of the Bethel
and helps the Guide.
Messengers:
The Initiation team. They tell the story
of Job, his trial, temptations and triumph
Recorder:
Keeps history of the Bethel in legible form
Senior
and Junior Princesses: Vice presidents. they are planning
their terms and helping the HQ

East : Where the Honored Queen and
the Princesses sit. A raised dais.
Treasurer:
Keeps track of the Bethel's money
